For shopping lovers

While Rome is a perfect city in which to discover magnificent monuments, museums, art galleries, historical squares and fountains as well as ancient churches, it is also an ideal city for shopping. The most famous shopping areas are undoubtedly those in the centre of the city: Via dei Condotti, Via Cola di Rienzo, Via Borgognona, Via Frattina, Via del Corso, Piazza di Spagna all of which are easily reacheable on the A metro line just a few minutes walk away from the B&B.
But other shopping areas are the nearby Via Tuscolana, which you can get to on foot, as well as the commercial centres of "Cinecittà Due" and "Shopping Center Tuscolano".
( -
They are all convenient for a bit of afternoon or evening shopping, and you will find there clothes and shoe shops, typical "Made in Italy" articles such as bags, leather goods, accessories, and souvenirs. The via Tuscolana also offers a wide variety of services from small wine shops to pubs, from fast food chains to more traditional family-style restaurants as well as some more important restaurants, from pizzerias to ice-cream vendors, all of which we will be happy to show you. And for those who prefer to explore markets in search of vintage goods we would suggest the historical market of "Porta Portese", open every Sunday. Equally famous is the market on Campo dei Fiori where every morning you can buy beautiful flowers, fresh fruit and vegetables

Around Rome

In the Colli Albani (Alban Hills) it is possible to visit Castelli Romani towns such as Frascati, Grottaferrata, Castel Gandolfo and many others. They are noteworthy for their ancient villas and beautiful landscape. But also for their characteristic "Fraschette" where it is possible to taste the local wine as well as dine on typical Roman dishes. These towns are easily reachable from our B&B either by bus or by car. Castel Gandolfo, the summer residence of the Pope looks onto the Lake of Albano. The profusion of art and nature make this a magnificent place to visit. It can also be reached by train from the Vatican.
